The lodge is situated in the small village of Chatel Censoir approx forty minutes south of Auxerre, the capital of the Yonne Department (region), and a fabulous old city.
It is a ‘must see’ stop for an afternoon.
Situated by the river Yonne, the famous cathedral and abbey stand high on the hill, and are well worth a visit. You will also find some very impressive shops, if that’s your thing.
Chatel has a convenience store, bakers, bar and restaurants, garage, and bank. So you’ll find everything you need for your stay.
